LDAP based on Fedora-Directory-Server (FDS)

LDAP is one of the hot topics at the moment. Wouldn`t it be nice to have one central Database where all users and stuff is stored. LDAP is designed to be that database. A lot of people are using OpenLDAP, but it has it`s flaws. We will use Fedora-Directory-Server an new OpenSource LDAP-Server based on the former Netscape-DS. You will learn what LDAP is, how it is designed and used. We will use LDAP to store our Linux-User-Accounts and configure Apache and Samba to use your LDAP-Database.
