Training Description

Spring Framework is a de-facto standard for “lightweight“ development of enterprise applications based on JEE platform. The training introduces the Spring philosophy of designing applications and describes each component from the rich Spring portfo- lio. In this course, students build a Spring-powered JEE application that demonstrates the Spring Framework in an intensely productive, hands-on setting. After completing the training students are able to design and develop enterprise applications based on Spring.

Who should attend?
Java and JEE developers that want to develop enterprise applications in an agile manner.
Target group for the training are Java and JEE developers that need Spring Framework for their projects. Spring is an alternative to standard EJB development but as it is an application framework it helps to improve development performance for all JEE projects. Spring is very popular in Java community these days and Spring project leaders are also members of Java spec groups, so many concepts from Spring will become JEE of the future.

Prerequisities
Knowledge of Java Standard Edition. XML knowledge. Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition is an advantage. Knowledge of JEE is a plus.

Pavel Mueller is an experienced JEE architect working with Java for over 8 years. He is a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect and he has been using Spring Framework since 2003 and AspectWorks. He used Spring in many successful mission-critical projects, so he is able to share architectures and experience from these projects. He teaches Java and JEE courses for over 5 years and he always prefers exercises over theory in his courses.
