The first IT Manager Institute in Europe
In November 2006 we hosted the very first IT Manager Institute class and IT Business Manager Certification (ITBMC) in Europe. Through a special arrangement with Mike Sisco, we offered a highly successful program at a significantly reduced cost.
17 IT Managers from Slovenia, Croatia and Kosovo joind the Institute, which was held in Hotel Lev, Ljubljana.
We managed to experience the Institute and it really provides practical insight on what to do to be a successful IT manager and include guidance on how to go about it with tools and examples to help you be more successful. Each participant received:
- IT Manager Institute MASTER INSTITUTE Handouts
- IT Manager Institute MASTER TOOLS Handouts
- IT Management Models
- IT Manager Institute 30 Day Action Plan
- IT Manager Institute 30 Day Action Plan-Excercises Booklet
- IT Management Process
Mike gave us a lot of practical examples from his experiences in real world. His background really makes him uniquely qualified to teach proven management methods and share "insider secrets" that work in managing today's technology environment.
Mike utilizes the basic principles of management and upgrades it with specifically developed management tools for IT Managers. He's approach is based upon real world IT operational management experience and best practices in organizing, developing, and motivating highly effective IT organizations to support the needs and objectives of business.
On Friday all students took the the 5-part exam to get the IT Business Manager Certification (ITBMC). Each part must be passed to gain the certification. Passing grade is 80% for each part and there are 20 questions in each part. The ITBMC was developed and endorsed by Belmont University's MBA program and MDE Enterprises, Inc. (Mike Sisco) to provide an IT manager certification that reflects practical operational management of technology resources. Belmont
validates the educational value of the program and MDE validates the practical application of the material as it is based upon more than 20 years of actual IT management leadership and in working with hundreds of companies and thousands of IT managers and CIO's
