The Red Hat Cloud Architecture (CL350) two-day course is designed for IT architects who require a detailed understanding of Red Hat cloud capabilities and wish to gain the knowledge needed to select the right components and develop applications for their organization´s private cloud. Throughout the course, students will perform tasks with this private cloud including deploying hypervisor hosts, deploying virtual machines in the cloud, and managing the virtual machine life cycle and resources. In addition to exploring the deployment and unified management of distributed applications across hosted, in-house, or hybrid cloud resources, students will learn how these flexible systems can easily shift or scale to meet changing needs.

Cloud infrastructure management services

• Learn how to use Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Management and RHN Satellite and manage users

Deploying hosts

• Learn how to deploy Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 hosts

Deploying virtual machines

• Deploy virtual machines using PXE, ISO images, and templates

Managing virtual machines

• Learn how to monitor, suspend, and resume virtual machines

Deploying applications

• Deploy applications using RHN Satellite and templates

Deploying JBoss EAP applications using JBoss ON

• Deploy and scale JBoss EAP applications using Satellite and templates

Scheduling work using Red Hat MRG Grid

• Deploy and scale a MRG Grid application

Bridging Public and Private Clouds with CloudForms

• Understand the evolving family of Red Hat products for unifying application management in private, public, and hybrid clouds
